ABU DHABI, 13th November, 2018 (WAM) — Global experts took part in seminars detailing tolerance research and developments, as part of the 2018 National Tolerance Festival.Held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, the seminars seek to enrich cultural discussions and exchange knowledge on tolerance as a field in the social sciences and practice by communities as a whole.The Ministry of Tolerance has said that it will launch a national project on tolerance research within the UAE, serving as a platform for innovation and creativity for researchers in the UAE and around the world.Afraa Al Sabri, a Ministry of Tolerance representative, said that the Festival has focused on the role of individuals, families, and local and global communities in supporting the values of tolerance and co-existence. She noted that the seminars saw international experts in tolerance and peaceful coexistence gather and introduce research papers and participate in debates.She went on to say that the seminars will help see the fruition of innovative ideas and programmes, as well as keep abreast of future changes and challenges, while highlighting the leading role the UAE plays to promote tolerance as part of its 2021 Vision.
